The first annual Jail Break 5K Race will be held on April 27th, 2013. Come join us for this new event hosted at Debary Hall. Participants will have the opportunity to run from the Volusia County Sheriffs’ Officers and other Law Enforcement agencies participating in this race. Law Enforcement participants will start 2 minutes after the other participants and will attempt to pass as many runners as possible. The agency with the most runners caught wins a special award and a bonus donation will be given to the Sheriff’s Youth Ranch based on the number of runners passed. The goal of this charity event is to raise money for the Sheriff’s Youth Ranches and the Debary Hall. Please check out their websites and see what great charities these are. Come join us for this fun event and great cause! Don’t forget to wear your best prisoner costume for the post race costume contest.
